BIO

My name is Kofi and yes its pronounced the same way as coffee and also the question i get most is ''Kofi do you want Coffee?'' with that out of the way Im a portrait photographer generally but Im now moving more towards documentary work as well as honest editorial portraits and filmmaking.

Im mostly on set with all the enthusiasm cos when i find a subject of interest everything i do becomes about this person till the image or video is made and an experience is shared.

I do lots of personal projects as Im at the phase of building my portfolio and website. I also enjoy sharing the knowledge I've got over the years through practical work.

I got into photography in 2016 when i was still working as a military nurse in the Ghana Air Force as a form of diversional therapy, I fell in love had great mentors and curiosity built over time and that led to me traveling to Southeast Asia to explore and broaden my human life experience through documentation in the form of photos videos and shared conversations.

As you read now Im still on a journey of constantly exploring the most complex living creature on the planet (HUMANS) and hopefully as most encounters do enrich my life i hope my photography helps to enrich the lives of the people i meet and those who get to share my art

''Kofi is one of the most creative digital storytellers I know. He has a gift for documentary-style cinematography that feels raw and intentional at the same time. If you need someone to document a mission with heart and authenticity, Kofi is the person you want behind the lens''. David Panford ISPP
