01. The Conversation (15–20 minutes) Everything begins with a conversation.This is where I get to know you beyond the reason you’ve booked a portrait session. We talk about your story, what has brought you here, and how you hope to feel when you look back at these photographs years from now.There are no right answers. This conversation simply lays the foundation for creating portraits that feel deeply personal rather than carefully performed.
02. The Planning (30–60 minutes) Once we understand the feeling we’re creating, we begin shaping the session together.We’ll talk about locations, clothing, light, colour, and the overall atmosphere. Whether we’re photographing in your home, outdoors, or in the studio, every decision is made with intention.If being photographed makes you nervous, this is also the time we talk about it. Most of the people I photograph feel exactly the same. My role is simply to create a space where you can arrive as yourself.
03. The Portrait (Session Unhurried) The day itself is never rushed.There is no countdown and no pressure to perform. We move naturally, following conversation, light, and quiet moments as they unfold.Sometimes we walk. Sometimes we sit in silence. Sometimes we laugh unexpectedly.The photographs are created somewhere in between all of that.This is less about posing and more about being present.
04. Your Reveal (60–90 minutes) A few weeks later, we’ll meet again to experience your portraits together for the first time.You’ll choose the images that speak to you—the ones that feel most like home.From there, each selected photograph is individually refined with care before being prepared as digital files or handcrafted prints designed to be lived with for years to come.
